I'm signed up for the 8-week course called "Out and About with Your Camera" at Betterphoto.com. Our first assignment was getting to know our camera and figuring out the lowest shutter speed that we can use and still get crisp photos. I'm pretty familiar with my camera, and thanks to Brady take shots at all kinds of shutter speeds, so I decided to not worry so much about cranking down the shutter speed and instead spend time shooting.
I went to the Seattle Art Museum to see the Picasso exhibit with co-workers, and then I stayed late because there's no better place to practice street photography than indoors where it's warm and there are lots of people :-) Fortunately photography is allowed in most of the museum (minus the Picasso exhibit), and I was able to do some people shooting without being noticed.
This is my favorite shot of the evening. These two were so animated!
