Chad Children 2

Chad Children 2 by luvmonkey.
I spent a month in Chad, Africa in 1994 filming a documentary. In N'Djamena, the capital, the children thought I was a bizarre sight — they don't see many "nacadas," or white boys, in town.

Hello Luvmonkey,

We are two french Canadian who are building a photography project in Africa name DignImage. We actually need pictures to make a document to raise money for the project. We saw your picture and it seem to be perfect for what we need. Would you mind if we use it?

The project
The main objective of the DignImage project (the combination of the words Dignity and Image) is to offer Africa’s youth opportunities by introducing them to photography. They will be able to express themselves and show the world their vision of Africa by posting their pictures on the Web and also displaying prints. Portions of all revenues would go towards their education and future.

From the end of January 2007 until December 2007, we will be in Africa. We will combine this activity with the exploration of the continent. We would like to do this project in two countries, Senegal and Madagascar.

Tank you for your support,

Patrick Nadeau and Caroline Hamel

Hi Luvmonkey,

That is a beautiful picture. As with one of your other respondents, I work for a very small charity RESET, which educates the humanitarian sector on sustainable ways to build resilience in communties to climate change and soaring energy and food prices.

We would love to use your image on our website (www.reset-development.org), can you let me know whether you would be willing to let us use it?

We could contribute a small fee if you wish, please let me know whetehr this would be possible?

Best wishes,
Blanche Cameron
