random photo I like
... from the archives. This is from June, 08. We were going for a walk downtown. I remember us enjoying the pigeons together. The kids were all so teeny.
I'm finally (finally!!!) thoroughly going through digital archives and developing tons of photos from each month of the last four years. It's time-consuming, but seriously fun and emotionally stirring. Photo archives are such a time capsule, I can't believe the memories that get buried and forgotten because of the busyness of everyday living.
Before you know it, your babies grow up and fly away on you. Sigh.

scarecrow pumpkin guy
There's a funny story behind the shirt he's wearing!
I begged Todd to go through his massive clothes stash for years to donate the stuff he never, ever wore. He finally did a few months ago, and this was one of the shirts I really hated that he never wore, but refused to let go of for so long. He finally agreed to. So I donated this carload of clothes - including this shirt - to the thrift store last month....
The kids and I went back to the thrift store last week to look for cheap clothes for a scarecrow... this shirt jumped out at me off the rack for some reason, I thought it was ugly enough to be fitting for the scarecrow, and I bought it. I BOUGHT IT. I had no idea this was the same shirt we donated until Todd came home from work and said "hey! that's MY shirt!!". So funny, we all had a good laugh at that one.
