Some insane dude trying to swim the wave. he got slammed to the narley limestone reef seconds later. Suffered a lot of cuts and almost drowned and he did it 3 times again. Uh... Thats me by the way...

Cloud 9, Siargao Island Philippines

Cloud 9 is the only perfect goofy barrel wave in the Philippines. Peak season is during August to September where the waves can reach a height of 20 feet. This was during the Annual Quicksilver International Surfing Cup.

nowp that aint me, its my first try to body surf a wave this big. when i got out people thought i was crazy or stupid. but ill be willing to do it again the next time i go there ;) the locals will call me crazy again. but i do it for the challenge to face something that would prolly kill you. about the guy you mentioned, i dunno who it is... but the news spreads really fast over there. you can even garner the "wipe out of the day" and everybody's gonna talk about it in the house parties in the evening.
