New Cave-In on East Side Greenway

Depth of cave-in apparent from gap between these legs of the barricades and the roadbed.

New Cave-In on East Side Greenway by bicyclesonly.

Here at East 79th Street, the roadbed has caved in creating yet another cordoned-off pinchpoint requiring pedestrians and bicyclists to take turns passing through. Will this hazard sit here for years as the one 14 blocks to the south (picture linked below) has done?
