that's 5th ave/60th. It's in front of the FAO Schwartz toy store. I think FAO lost their lease or they're going to leave the space soon. Bryant Gumbel's morning show used to be filmed there.

The building used to belong to Trump but he lost it in bankruptcy to GM so it's back to being called the GM Building

Apple Store - Glass Cube.
So, I did a little investigating. The veneer will not be coming down today or this weekend. Engineers are photographing it to make some alterations. Apparently Apple is not happy with the steel buckles holding the glass together. They want to use another attachment such as something that will blend better with the glass.

The projected opening of the Glass Cube and store is May 20th, 2006. The store is underground and is 25,000 SQFT

NOyou are not wrong. There used to be a VERY LARGE fountain in fornt. this was removed and the new apple store cube is in it's place. There will be two fountains on either side of the glass cube.

The cube is not blocking the Central Park view. How can it? It's glass? ;)
