Southern Right Whale

    There were several Southern Right Whales at Logan's Beach - Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. This one played throughout the day, some times less than 100 metres off shore.
    The Southern Right Whales is one of the largest mammals on earth being only marginally smaller than the Blue and Humpback whales. An adult whale averages 15 - 18 metres in length and 50 - 90 tonnes in weight

      That's just incredible! Geeze, I thought it was a big deal when,
      once, a couple of dolphins got close to me as I was swimming.
      This photo has kind of burst my bubble.

      Very nice shot!
      It makes it easier to imagine how big these whale are.
      Must be an incredible experience to get as close...
