Eye Biter

Eye Biter

The dimidiochromis compressiceps is nick-named Malawi eye biter for reasons which should be self explanitory. His bright colouration and flowing bright orange dorsal and anal fins indicate to the other fish that he is a tyrranical rapist who is not to be trifled with. Else eyes are apt to be bitten.

I've been considering getting rid of this fully grown male for a while because the other cichlids in my aquarium just hide from him and his endless desire to mate.

Chorus of Angels

This is an intermediate hair colour on the way to Auburn apparently... She left it this way for a day (apparently to look like Jesse from Team Rocket...)

Im running quickly out of things to photograph in my small apartment... not to mention two umbrellas and two people is virtually all the real estate available in the kitchen.

Strobist
SB600 and LP120 (still misbehaving) both through white shoot thru ubmrealls in a cross lighting setup. 1/4 and 1/4 -.7EV respectively. Triggered Via Cactus V4.

This is a composite of three shots, however the colour is not altered in photoshop, it was achieved using coloured gels on the flash.

Strobist

SB600 triggered via cactus V4 shooting up through smoke with respective gel.
