wow- I do not know how you did this but I am guessing they are real girls that you made to look like statues?
      the effect is fantastic!

I like the juxtaposition of the coldness of winter snow against action and dress typical of summer. This is a great capture.

sweet image. the snow is so beautiful to capture ~ not so beautiful to drive in. ;-)

      Time's Running Shadows...

      Iced Time
      On the toe tips
      Sensing the disappearing laughter
      Upon the dark lips
      They ran past
      Time's berg
      And its lingering drips
      Taking some snow melt
      With them , like
      Water shadows
      On their fingertips .....

      .

it looks like they have been frozen in time, perhaps a spell by some wicked witch?

I really like the subject. Just play with levels and curves to take away some of the grayness so that they really jump out from the picture.

Giant trunk on the left distracts from the composition. I would have rotated more clockwise to block it out. I'm sure these girls will still be running in the next snowfall. Reshoot. DM5

this could be so much better. it is a good cap to being with, but it would kick ass if you did the following--

1- b/w man! it's so close anyway, get rid of the minor blue tinge
2- use some burning and dodging! bring out more of the texture of the statues by burning them. burn the snow as well- it's whited out a bit too much
3- color balance to bring a slight color hue to it at the end

punch it up to get it in the safe.

good title but i think you have to go black and white here and also a different angle because the tree is so distracting!

go for bw for sure and nix the tree on the left...different angle or something

I think it's worth trying to re-shoot if you can go to the site again

Love this. I have not read all of the comments above, however, if anyone said you took a shot of someone else's art - just ignore them.

    44. Andy Welsh (90 months ago | reply)

Its got a little something extra because of the snow on the statues and the time of year that we are in. Nicely framed and well spotted.

I would have said this was a keeper if it wasn't for the distracting stuff in the background - the tree, the fence, the bushes.
