Caught in the Snow

I would be honored if you would take the time to look at some of my other work: Here are some of my best in a SLIDESHOW Or, for a quick glance, try the thumbnails of some great pics of mine.

Taken at the Botanical garden, during a snowfall.
I found a trick to keep my camera dry you may want to try: I put it in a freezer bag, and taped it with painter's tape so that just the lens was out in the weather. Somewhat awkward, but it kept the water off the delicate electronics. Also, take extra batteries. . .they don't last as long in the cold!!!

Yup, the bird was that red. No saturation change at all. Males of the species (as with most birds, but not humans) are the most brightly colored.

This is lovely! It almost looks like color selection as the bird stands out so much the rest almost looks like its black and white. I love the snow falling around the bird, just lovely and a perfect winter shot!

That trick is good, I did it with a big plastic bag, that went over the lense too, to protect it from the droplets (rain), but left enough room around it to still be able to take pics :)

You caught a wonderful birdie there!
