   very powerful and moving....
   the overexposure is obviously intentional and I think that it just adds so much to this image.
   but what do i know...

    Just doesn't work for me. The brightness is the point of the picture I guess but it also ruins it.

    answer to your questiom tim (i hope)... the extreme contrast (trying to stay away from the term 'overexposure, makes it sound like you did something bad) turns this into a dramatic, beautiful shot (i tried to say that in my earlier post, sorry if i missed the mark).

    I was going to ask if this was the angel from Calvary before I opened the page and saw your description. Used to pass by this all the time on the road between the cemetaries. It's my favorite monument sculpture.
