Poppy, Closer
This is a "one frame HDR", which is not a true High Dynamic Range photo, since a real HDR is made from at least two to often 5 or more over and underexposed shots. The combination of under and over exposure, when combined at 32-bit color depth, gives a wider range of hues and tones (darks & lights) than is viewable on a monitor. A regular 8-bit digital photo JPEG has only 256 levels of light and dark.
I actually have taken some photos recently with 5 levels of exposure (-2, -1, 0, +1, and +2 f-stops). But I only have downloaded the free version of Photomatix, so I'll only be able to combine two at a time for now. Thanks to ~Dezz~, whose wonderful and step-by-step tutorial on single-image HDR's was the source of my information on how to do this. Thanks Desirae !! 1k-5646 hdr CommentsTamnLu Productions
