Spider Rock

Spider Rock by Creativity+ Timothy K Hamilton.
This rock stands about the height of a football field. It's less accessible than many Arizona natural wonders, since it's at the far end of the Canyon deChelly park, and you must hike for 20 minutes or so to reach it. You can judge the scale somewhat by noticing the jeep trails at the bottom of the canyon. This landmark has been featured in several westerns, including "Mckenna's Gold".

Wonderful! Thanks for the details of how accessible this formation is. I'm headed to Chinle area this May and am so looking forward to finally getting a glimpse of this incredible area of the US.

Thanks for sharing, Tim. This is terrific!

A stunning landscape. Hope I can visit this place one day.
I like your composition with the 3 huge shadows which you exposed very well. No details got lost.

Beautiful capture, Tim, well worth the hike!

That's one more benefit to photography, at least for me. I am out in the fresh air, walking, climbing and even meditating while waiting for "THE" shot.
