The nearby fires obscured the view and created a haze most of the
afternoon at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Yet that same smoke
pollution made for some spectacular orange sunset colors. This is a
5-shot hdr image. I used HDR to get more detail in both the lightest
and the darkest areas of the photo. Getting detail is especially
difficult for low-light shots.
It is a real joy to be able to use my eyes, my camera, and my developing skills to allow you my friends to be able to share in a special moment like this one. Photography has a wonderful ability to transport us into the time, place, and experience of another human being.
Truly a miracle.
