I like the colors, motion and framing in this one best.

Is this from the VP fair? Do they still do the VP fair down there?

This is the best one. Wow !

It's called "Fair St. Louis", now, because of racial issues surrounding the "Veiled Prophet" -VP- all white organization.

Every once and awhile I stumble upon a great photo on Flickr. Something about the photo just takes my breath away. Maybe it’s the color of the specific photo or maybe it’s the composition, or it’s the uniqueness of the shot. Whatever it is, this photo (as with many of your photos) just does it for me. If I could somehow right click on your name add click “Add all of members photos to favorites” - I would. I truly admire your work and aspire to one day be able to take photos of this caliber.

as much as i want to dislike this, i can't. the fact that there is no photoshop here makes me like it more. well done.

Your decision to keep the rest of the arch in frame, thereby forcing everything else to the left and kinda centering the capitol building seems to be ill-considered. I'd crop it at the right edge of the capitol building. Nice shot. I assume you hand held it for a second?

lack of focus on the building which is also slightly tilted keeps it out of the safe for me. good attempt though

      Deleteme ADMIN:

      I only count 9 deleteme's - at most.

Kinda missing 4, 5, and 6, except for the fact that someone doesn't know a deleteme from a deleteme1.
      Just because it has a deleteme10 doesn't mean it has 10. . .
Then again, feel free to remove this immediately. . it's going nowhere.

      Just thought you should know

thats not the old capitol building. that would be the Old Courthouse, site of the famous Dred Scott decision.

Regardless, thats an amazing picture and would be hanging on my wall if I had taken it myself. I have spent many, many July 4ths trying to capture that same shot with only marginal success. Great job!
