Modal Day

Modal Day by Bernard Farrell.
This is the modal day graph from the Dexcom software. It shows seven days worth of data superimposed over a 24-hour period. Each color represents a different day of the week.

This is useful for looking at weekly patterns. For example the nightime readings are very stable and mostly in a good tight range between 90mg/dL and 160mg/dL. Then food arrives and there are spikes after each meal. The Tuesday graph does look fairly nice though.

Again there are no statistics or summary information available.

I can choose to display this for a smaller number of weekdays, which allows me to eyeball the values more easily. But I can't, for example, display the last several weekends on a similar graph to see how my values look then.

I'll post more comments on this graph on my blog, where I talk about some of the challenges of the Dexcom system.
