Diabetes365 Day 44 November 20 - Trip preparation
Whenever I'm traveling I need an extra 30 minutes or so just to assemble the diabetes supplies that I may need on the road.
I'm going for four days, so I need extra insulin, symlin, test strips, glucose tabs, and a lot more besides. And because I can't afford to be separated from all of this, I need to take it as carry-on luggage.
Thankfully the security folks are used to dealing with diabetes and I rarely have a hard time explaining all the stuff to them. But I have sometimes forgotten essential things which caused last minute panic attacks.
There is no cure for Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes (these are different diseases.)
Yet.

Woot! I timed it just right. This is photo number 1,000 in the pool. (Actually a coincidence, I wasn't really scheming about this.)

This is the 1000th photo in the Diabetes 365 group!!!!
Hooray!
Wow, it's amazing to think we've already got our first 1000.... and great to look forward to the next thousands!
How fitting that it's a photo of a jumble of diabetes supplies... all those pesky things we need.

Yay, 1,000 photos!
This project has 48 members in it. Assuming that even just half those members are active and make it to the end of their year, this project will have more than 8,700 photos about daily life with diabetes. That's really amazing!
