Between my day job and my own personal work, I tend to have quite a few creative projects simmering. Occasionally, I will be inspired by something that will completely divert my attention for a day or two. In this case I was really interested in the illustration style and bold colors used to create the classic Batman comic covers in the 50’s and 60’s. I thought it would be interesting to apply that style to the soon to be released movie, The Dark Knight Rises.

One last Phish prints for 2011. Celebrating their New Year's concert run in New York City. One of my favorite pieces from this years.

Spreading my wings a bit with this one. My first go at a Wide Spread Panic Fan Art Concert Poster. I have to thank Doug Whitworth for bringing to me a great idea to mimic a vintage set of Topps Football Cards. It was a lot of fun to illustrate the football player and then add in all the texturing to give it an aged look. I also decided to give it a little bit of a print registration issue and even added some great color half tone.

I have to say that it has been a great summer. I decided to wrap up my Phish Phan Art Concert Poster Series with a shout out to all the tour dates and a snazzy new illustration that I have been working on for awhile now.
