OK, OK, my apologies to those of you that have been familiar with my photostream for some time. Yet another driving photo....

Hey! Speaking of my driving photos, I've had another one published. This time in JPG Magazine, Issue 10.

Back to this photo... it's different from the others because I mounted the tripod behind the driver's seat, rather than the passenger side. I'm not sure why, but I've never thought to shoot from this perspective befire!

Also, I had the remote in my right hand, and triggered the shutter about 25 seconds before I went through the toll, and held it as I went through, and a bit beyond it so that I could get the lights in the rearview mirror. My favorite part of the picture.

The aperture was closed down at f/9, so I knew that I wouldn't overexpose the image, even though the lights in the toll-lanes are really bright (I've done this enough now that I'm my own moving lightmeter!).

What's cool, beyond the actual concept, is the long exposure has filled in the tones on your arms. It looks like soft box lighting.

BRP has an interesting idea, if you could add your eyes looking into the rear view mirror and have them bright enough to be seen it's be like a road warrior effect. Photoshop anyone?

Brings back fond memories of my Outback. Guy ran a red light and slammed into the driver's door just over a month ago. It feels like such a long time since I've driven that car. Not totaled, so it's being repaired and I have no idea when it'll be finished.
