Vintage Book - Electricity Made Simple

I found this book among my grandfather's things at Cedar Hill.

The copyright date is 1950. I can imagine my grandfather in that year,

purchasing this book. This may have been the source of most of his

electrical knowledge.

He was a man of amazing integrity. Absolutely self-taught, he worked

his way through school at SMU and became a bookkeeper / accountant. He

was the first bookkeeper in Dallas to use computers.

He invested wisely and was very frugal. He worked hard all his life

and never let anyone do anything for him.

He died in December. Alone at home. He'd gone out to get the mail and

collapsed back in his living room - we suspect from congestive heart

failure.

Three days previous he'd told me that he was going to die in three days.

I wish my last day with him was more pleasant. But he gave me my

piano, and the legacy he passed on to me is a talent with no measure.
