1988 Centurion Ironman

Old Specialized cable bike lock
Old seat bag. Contains bike multi-tool, spare tube, patch kit, and tire lever.
New seat post rack
Old Brooks B-17 seat. Love it!
New grip tape on handlebars
New cable housing on derailleur, also new on top tube.
Old Topeak Road Morph G tire pump
Touchup paint that doesn't match and looks like hot pink blood splatter
Cateye 6000 cycling computer that didn't work when I bought the bike (but does now)
New tires front and back
New brake pads front and back
Special "Magic Wrap" plumbing pipe tape that is not sticky -- you just unroll it, stretch it as you wrap, and it stays put. Genius! I'm using it on the computer wire that goes to the rear tire.
New cables and cable housing
Blinkie!

Behind Door #3 ... A NEW (old) BIKE!!!!!!

I replaced the tires, the brake pads, the cables and cable housings, rewrapped the handlebars, and fixed the computer.

Added are the seat (Brooks B-17), the tire pump (on the seat tube), the seat post rack, the seat bag, and the cable lock (on top of the rack).

I love you more because you ride a pink bike. You know that already, though. :)

I hope you don't mind me commenting, but I ride a similar bike - flickr.com/photos/jbl4ir/2561842520/

I goddamn love the thing. I did some similar tune up work initially and now it rides like a dream. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I've been enjoying mine. :)

I was wondering if you replaced the brake hoods on your bike? I just got a Centurion as well and I'm planning on making it run again. Thanks!

No the brake hoods were in good condition and did not need to be replaced.

Hey. I'm thinking of buying one of these, same color and what not, anyway, I was wondering what size the wheels were? 27" or 700cc? The one I am going to pick up, if I decide to, is said to need a new set of wheels and I always have 700cc tires laying around as I also ride a fixed gear and well, go through them quite a bit (luckily around here you can dumpster decent 700cc tires on a regular basis).

Cheers, and nice bike!
