(recipe from Mom)
* butter 9x13 pan, glass or metal
* butter both sides of enough bread slices to cover the bottom of the pan completely
* sprinkle bread with 1/2 c grated sharp cheddar
* top with layer of diced ham--a cup or so
* top with following mix: 3 eggs, 2 cups milk, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, or 1-2 cloves smashed garlic, and salt/pepper to taste
* BAKE 45min to 1 hour at 350
