This was taken in Ojai, back in August. To be honest, it was one of the last times I can remember truly having fun before everything in my life seemed to fall apart. Here it is two days before Christmas and instead of drinking hot chocolate and wrapping presents, I am still in the hospital.

Being sick has forced me to move away from the friends and the city that I love, stripped me of my freedom and independence and slowly... has chipped away at "me". As bad as things are, I will get better. I constantly remind myself that people deal with a hell of out a lot worse every day and I will come out of this stronger and happier.

I'm just very anxious to get to that point. It seems like it is taking forever...

So it hasn't been the best few days... I landed back in the hospital, AGAIN! Six hospitalizations in three months, it's a personal record lol. Anyway, we finally made the decision today to move ahead with surgery but I won't probably be doing that until after Christmas.

I think next time I am admitted, I'm going to bring my camera and do a series in the hospital. No self portraits though, lol. Hope you guys are enjoying your Christmas season!!

Did a fabulous engagement session with my friend, Kennedy, and her now husband Kevin. We shot at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, shortly before I moved to Houston.
