      Hmm...very interesting focus effect, with an element on the side being the sharpest. The color stands out nicely, bringing to mind spices and intense flavor. The rest of the picture is blurred in a way that makes me think of heat waves.

      So what did you eat? I can't really tell. I just took some photos will making pancakes in my pan today, too. ;-)

      Artful, I'm glad you think it's an interesting effect. I have a nice sharp shot of the entire pan, but it's really boring. I liked the single sharp edge and blurred food far more -- and there is a little steam rising from the pan, too.

      @pebblechen, this was pasta sauce with peas and bacon. I don't normally scour the freezer for meat to put in my pasta, but I was in serious protein deficit at dinner time last night, because I'm entirely incapable of pacing myself, and the fast songs kept coming up on the shuffle while I was jogging uphill. _Why do they always do that?_
