a challenge to the dark

Part of a Color 1 assignment.

The assignment was to do a series of "sequential" images, where one naturally leads to the next. Instead of doing cartoon style narratives, I decided to take a different approach.

My concept here was to photograph him to show that you have to love all of someone, not just their best features. His face is beautiful, but he's always had not the best feet. I wanted to take time and care with each photo, and make each one something that could stand on it's own within the series.

Shot with a Canon EOS Rebel 2000. 35mm (I think it was Velvia?), c-print, printed on Kodak Ultra Endura.

Probably my favorite of the whole series.
