On the Streets - VII

Made in Brazil
On the Streets - VII by carf.
Slightly more comfortable than the bare cobblestones of the sidewalks, these street kids have made their own den and sleep it off on an old matress. For most of them there will be a long wait until they have an opportunity to leave the streets.
These two, Robison and Eduardo, were lucky. Take a look at this diptych and others in our Life After The Streets Set

This Video Clip, which includes intervues with former street kid Robison, was made by American teen reporters from Strive Media Institute in the USA during their visit to the Hummingbird Project in São Paulo.

Just look at this particular photo, what can you possibly say about such an image? What words add to its eloquent import? What further meaning needs conveying, beyond the tragic and anger-making suffering of small people in a wretched and betraying world not of their making? And yet this picture also expresses an implicit hope, contained within the vulnerable but resilient spirit of this small child.

Wow just by looking at this picture i feel really pissed at who ever took this picture. They took the picture but did they even bother to f**cking give them money or help them? Jesus Christ just looking at these two makes me want to know why people just dn't help them. -_-

Raymond47,
Please do read the photo commentary before making such assumptions. These kids have turned their lives around with our help and I'm proud to present them on Flickr.
There are plenty of other images on Flickr taken by people who merely take pictures and do nothing in support of these kids needs, but that is certainly not my case. Read on and visit my profile page for more info.
Thanks!
