How disappointing -- I was getting really excited to blog about about my discovery, thinking how the whole geeky internet will bow down to my great idea, but now that I see thousands have been here before me, I wonder if it's actually worth it. Meh, c'est la vie.

This photo was posted before Flickr was open to the public, though. The earliest photos are by developers then by friends of the developers then by the first users etc. The "official" Flickr launch date though I believe is February 14 (Valentines day) of 2004.
