Tribute to Mom

Tribute to Mom by beefranck.
My Mom used to say this to my brothers and I instead of the typical threats. In our house, "Clean up your room or you're grounded!" was replaced by "Clean up your room or I shall beat you into bloody submission!" I think it might be due to her love of the language - she's a retired English Lit teacher. Rest assured, no one in our home was ever beaten, into bloody submission or otherwise.

Excellent, I love that phrase! ( but probably won't use it in our house because it might frighten my children a bit...)

Did you design these fabulous borders yourself? I'm trying to find some nice borders like these, though most I find are way too narrow or way too wide!

Hi Saria! :) The different elements from this border came from the booklet Alphabets and Borders by Laura Conley, which I bought on ebay for a great price. Both ebay and used book stores are great resources for this kind of thing. I've also found some really good used cross stitch books on etsy. Hope this helps!

I see! Thank you for the suggestions. While doing a little more research last night, I also found this website www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/ which has tons of scans of antique craft books that are in the public domain. There's crochet, knit, tatting, etc., but also a wealth of awesome cross stitch patterns from the 1800s to early 1900s! Not sure if you know about it already but the old work reminded me of some elements implemented in your pieces!

That's a great resource, too - I used it to make onanism. :) Plus - it's free!

One of these days I'm gonna cut you up into little pieces....Sorry, it just reminded me of that slightly disturbing Pink Floyd song :)

This one is great, and the expression as well!
