leftovers from a silly impromptu catering job at 7am. i kinda didn't want to eat it, but it was too ridiculous to pass up.

seedy toast with almond butter and (L) agave, (R) pear and cinnamon jam, 12 oct

there was smoky black tea to go with this but it was only a glint in my eye at the time this photo was taken. you can't really have toast without something hot to drink. i made the toast in the griller, cos it's the most slowmance kind of toast i can make.

@ each peach. whilst making portuguese custard. i really, really like working by myself. sometimes it worries me how solitary an experience cooking can be for me. there are only a handful of contexts in which i like to cook with others. nigel slater would be fine with this. i admit that it causes me some dis-ease.

i admit that this porridge came from a packet. sometimes these things have to be done. it wasn't a portion packet, though - do i get any points back for that?
