The first 90 seconds of our birthday congratulation video to my grandpa Horst who celebrated his 90th birthday on Thursday.

It so turned out that Keith's folks went to Germany for my grand-dad's 90th birthday party where they stayed with my folks for a few days. We are having quite regular Skype call with mum and dad, so that they can see Lewis now and then. So this Sunday all four of them joined the call which was great fun. Lewis hasn't quite figured out what's going on but he could definitely hear their voices. Admittedly, he was more excited about my lit Mac keyboard than the four grand-parents trying to get his attention. :-)

I quite like this screenshot because they are all so unaware of their photo being taken and have the look-into-the-pram-face.

We also heard that the birthday congratulation video was a success.

We are getting ready for the 90th birthday celebrations of my grand-dad and Lewis' great-grandpa Horst. Unfortunately we are not able to join him for the party in Germany so we are making him a little birthday congratulation video with hat and all. It's work in progress. So far we have lots of outtakes of Lewis throwing up, crying and sneezing but none of the main video yet. By the end of the week we need him to sing Happy Birthday. :-)

But psssst it's a surprise. Thankfully Opa Horst doesn't surf the web much and and isn't very active what social media is concerned. :-) He is of the generation which talks to each other in person and writes letters to folk.

I took this shot in Malleny Garden in Balerno at the beginning of September just before autumn set in and when it was still very colourful. I really like this flower, the orange is just so beautiful. This beauty was shining at me and I couldn't resist capturing it. Check it out on black.
