The sepals themselves are ten beads, followed by 4 more beads (wire doubles back into the 11th bead), then ten more beads. The purpose of this picture is to show how to add on the sepals; not the actual size of the base of the sepals (the tubular netting). Don't forget that can be as long as you like.
