16.365 Longing for Younger Day's
I went Chukkar hunting with my husband and son today. Jake is our old bird dog- he is 13 this year. Last year we got an English Pointer puppy as Jake was having a hard time hunting. Today, Jake got to go but got tired early on in the hunt. The boy's stayed out with Roscoe, the Pointer and I took Jake back down to the car. He kept turning around and looking back for my husband. I felt so bad for the old guy. As Kevin Costner said in the movie Open Range: "He's got the heart; he just aint got the legs anymore."
