The Cathedral of St. Alessandro, Bergamo, Italy [0942]

This beautiful cathedral in Bergamo, Italy, was begun in 1459, but work continued and changes were made well through the 19th century.

 

Bergamo, Italy, is a charming town, about one hour north east of Milan by train. It has an old town perched on a high bluff, and provides access for tourists via a funiculare.
