Cub: Got time for a story? I thought so. :-)) In 1999 we had S/A ed
out to LAS for a wedding. The next day we couldn't get out. A LOT of pass riders were in same boat (excuse the expression) with dozens trying to get to ORD or DEN, whichever! We were getting desperate. Finally the CSR said: "I think you'd better take a flight to SFO and then fly east to DEN or ORD/GRR (our goal) We took her advice and N372UA (at that time in "Shuttle" livery, was out ride to SFO. Nice flight. I remember the relief at being actually able to get out of LAS. For the record it was Flt UA 2476. And here is the very same plane....still serving LAS. Nice UA shot.
and it was Aug. 13, 1999. Oh, it was my /our first UA Shuttle flight also.
It would be fun to know how many LAS trips this bird has made since Aug. 99

Wonderful story, PhotoLab! I wish one could see the history of cities an aircraft has serviced over the years ... A few months ago a 747SP was here in town and I noticed that Clipper America was the name of the aicraft ... I took the reg and sure enough, it was with PAA as Clipper America and then later went to Braniff as "baby pumpkin". I never kept a record of my flights and aircraft, wish I had ... you have a nice hitorical record ... love to take a peek at that book one day.
