Province releases strategies on key energy sector

The Province is planning to continue to grow the industry over the next 10 years. In the BC Jobs Plan released in September, the Province committed to having its first LNG plant in operation by 2015 and three LNG facilities operating by 2020, assuming all environmental approvals are in place.
With the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a shippable form of natural gas – BC is ideally positioned to compete for a share of that lucrative market.
