2009 Blackhawk Country Roads Invitational Bicycle Ride, May 30-31

This our annual invitational 60 mile rolling to hilly ride from Rockton, IL to Brodhead, WI. This is in beautiful rural rolling Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
The route travels across the Rock, Pecatonica and Sugar rivers and through their watersheds.
Shorter, easier options are available, ranging from 10 to 45 miles. The shorter routes are shorter loops within the 60 mile loop.
The ride starts at the picturesque Rockton hydro electric power plant canal, which is fed by the Rock River.
There are rest stops at the Duck Pond/Little Beck Farm in Rural Durand, another in Brodhead and a third one at the Beckman Mill National Historic site and park.
