Route 66 - The Great American Highway

Route 66 - The Great American Highway

U.S. Highway Route 66 is the 'Mother Road' of American highways. Commissioned in 1926, the year the United States started numbering highways, Route 66 was a 2,448 mile long 2-lane concrete and asphalt ribbon -- stretching from Chicago through the heart of the Great Plains and the barren Southwest. It ended in Santa Monica, California, on the edge of the Pacific Ocean.

America's legendary highway and main street was deactivated in 1984, replaced by a more modern interstate highway system. And sadly, many of the towns that were a large part of Route 66 are now ghost towns, having died when the large interstate highways passed them by.

I've been playing around with Nik SIlver Efex Pro and really like what it can do.
Best Photoshop add-on ever!
