Freetail getting a light tag

This mexican freetail bat (Tadarida brasiliensis) was caught in a net. Then we used elmer's glue to temporarily attach a tiny light stick to its belly before releasing it. This way we could record its calls and know for sure what kind of bat it was. It's magical to watch them like fireflies or perhaps Tinkerbell flitting around the bushes and treetops in the dark.
