USCGC Bertholf arrives in San Francisco Bay by Bast Productions.
San Francisco Bay (July 23, 2008) - U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf arrives in San Francisco Bay to moor for the first time at its home port at Coast Guard Island in Alameda. Bertholf, the Coast Guard's first 418-foot National Security Cutter, is the lead ship in the new Legend class of cutters designed to be the flagship of the modernized Coast Guard fleet. Bertholf will be Commissioned in a time-honored ceremony on August 4th, 2008, the 218th birthday of the Coast Guard. USCG Photo by Eric J. Hebert, USCGAUX.
