One of the most distinctive deejays to emerge from Coxsone’s Studio One. His first big hit was a re-work of a classic “Skylarking” tune by Horace Andy. When people heard the “Crabwalking” version, the star of Prince Jazzbo began to glow.
The “Studio One Revue” set was a pass-the-mike session with Coxsone’s stars changing at the stage and delivering stunning solo and combination-style tunes. During the lengthy performance, Jazzbo couldn’t miss the opportunity to mention the well-known musical clash he has had with I Roy back in the days, “remember when I defeated I Roy, don’t ya?”. He also chatted with Dawn Penn, deejaying to the “No, no, no” tune and gaining a massive forward. I simply loved the performance, as well as great “reasoning” we have had on the three remaining days of festival.
