Alejandra lost last night to an inferior dancer. She danced, quite elegantly, the death scene in Swan Lake. One of the judges said she didn't have arms she had wings.

The winner did a rollicking 50's upbeat R&B dance, with much calisthenics, some errors, little elegance.

Class and elegance didn't measure up last night. So she is "at risk" and will dance again next week to get back to where she belongs.

@janet.powell, thanks a lot for your wishes, which I will convey. (It was her mother who provided the link above.) We were all shocked at the result Wednesday evening, and I can only attribute it to a total lack of taste by the judges. While Ale's performance was smooth, fluid and graceful, the competitor's had some errors and came off a bit disjointed and raucus. A dance from a 1950's, upbeat Rhythm and Blues song.
