One of four young women who I met while waiting for a bus in Badaling (Great Wall of China) to return to the city. She wrote me a letter in Chinese, with English translation, and I never answered. I still feel badly about that. It was my first trip to China.

I caught a bus at the airport to take me to my hotel, but it went out of service half way to the city center. He and his mother were in the same situation and they helped me get to the hotel. He visited me often and I never failed to leave the door open. Here he is wearing my tam, which may be about 40 years old by now. Bought it in Jamaica ages ago.
