Antoine at 6 months old

Antoine at 6 months old

Antoine's right ear is always standing up, almost flopping over on top of his head. Antoine was from a big litter of Shepherd/Labrador/Rottweiler pups. Poor Antoine watched as his brother Andy was adopted last Saturday. Antoine is really calm, spending all his time at the Petco adoption site napping.

Double Dot: A Future Forever Dog

Double Dot: A Future Forever Dog

Last week I posted a picture of Speck with some of the excuses listed why so many pups are returned to BARK and generally discarded around the country. On Facebook I posted to a bunch of shelter walls, asking that people freely share in order to spread the message of responsible and lasting pet ownership. Through many comments I saw some statements I felt required another image.

Double Dot is still available for adoption alongside her sister Speck. $100. Petco. Saturday. Oracle Road. Tucson.

Speck

Speck

I was in the mood for some mind-numbing Photoshop tedium.

I happened to notice the cover to Catfish had an interesting random grid pattern overlay on top of some boring actor face fragments.

As I set about filling in little squares with various grays I couldn't resist recognizable patterns, birthing a melting B, which I tidied up into the BARKTucson logo. I always like to incorporate some of the chaos from outerspace images into any composition with depth, and when I settled on blue, I can see some traces of swimming pool tile, which I have a "skeeve me out" phobia of. 8-bit clouds too.

Oh yeah, Speck is still available for adoption. 12 weeks old. Green eyes. Sweet and laid back. $100. Microchipped. Boostered. Petco. Saturday. www.barktucson.petfinder.com
