Desert Eagle .44

The Israeli Desert Eagle Pistol, one of the more interesting phenomenon in the world of social faux pax. This heavy weapon is not terribly accurate, nor fun to shoot in this author's pint-size hands, nor easy to Gun Kata with as the Matrix would lead you to believe... but its integral rotating bolt (ala AR-15) and piston- based gas return system speak of the amazing mechanical minds in the firearms community.

Despite popular belief, IMI did not actually build this pistol for the IDF, but specifically for the penis-contest consumers of the American handgun market. The Isarael Defence Force's main sidearm is the Jericho 941, in .41 IMI caliber. Also widely used in the Middle East is the Browning Hi-Power 9mm single action automatic.

Despite the Eagle's ridiculousness, I support it's use, for at least we in the US can still own handguns.
