The Incredible Floating Shoes

Freaky optical illusion which occurred while I was taking photos for my daughter to sell her shoes on eBay.

Anyone know how it happened? (I know...I just want to see if anyone figures it out.)

The shoe shadow is actually the shadow of your lens from your flash :) You have it positioned so perfectly!! Great trick, I'll have to remember that one!

Aah, n8xd....you spoiled it for me. (It was a total fluke!)

At first I was p!ssed...but then I looked at them closely and thought wow, they're levitating...cool!

(That ought to get them to sell!)

You are certainly right! Floating shoes will be a big hit with the kids! :) Even better than those pop-out roller shoes. Those are some great photos!

The lens's shadow in the flash... somebody should try to replicate the effect. Seems like a cool creative trick.

Is that Photo Shop or mirrors?

It is 4 different photos put together by bighuge labs mosiac function. The flying effect is an optical illusion caused by the shadow of the lens when I used flash.
