      Ticket .... What for? If it was Jaywalking I must say I find it extraordinary that this is a crime in a co-called free country. In most countries you can cross where and when you like.

      Yup, jaywalking. At a crosswalk. With no cars around.

      Apparently it's all sorts of illegal on the Left Coast, but in Philthadelphia, we can walk right out in front of oncoming traffic, causing a multi-car pileup, and tiptoe over the burning wreckage without a police officer looking twice.

      It's good to be back home.

      I was in NYC in January. No one bothered about jaywalking, let alone the police. They have bigger fish to fry. Perhaps there are too many LAPD officers doing nothing, so a jaywalker is a big deal. Sad people, eh?

      BRILLIANT. (In Toronto, they stand like sheep at crosswalks waiting for the light to change, even at 530am. Some cities just don't have the Philly-NYC reason of crossing at your own risk.)
