and let me quote this wonderful man:
"I want to open up transparency in government, so that you guys know what is happening. I want to revamp our White House website. I know it’s nice to take the virtual tour of the China Room,” he notes sarcastically, “but I want people to be able to know, ‘today, this issue is going on…today’s President Obama talked about his proposal for $4000 student college tuition credits, it’s going to be going into this congressional committee, these are the key leaders in the House and Senate that are going to be deciding on the bill, here are the groups that are involved that are supporting it, you should contact your Congressman. Just creating the situation that if people want to get involved and it’s easy. The information is out there, but trying to track it down isn’t…The more we can enlist the American people to pay attention and be involved, that’s the only way we are going move an agenda forward. That’s how we are going to counteract the special interests."

The Obama campaign keeping it real with network election coverage.
This was such an amazing moment. Wish I'd had the presence of mind to TiVo it. I got the acceptance speech, though. I'm keeping that sucker.

When that showed on the TV screen my boyfriend and I cheered and kissed like if it was the new year! Soon after we heard cars honking and people cheering down the street and I began receiving so many text messages filled with joy. It was truly a wonderful moment.

We were fast forwarding through Daily Show Special as we accidently saw this frame on our Second Election Night TV Set-Up screen! We were quite baffled that it was announced so early, we were bracing ourselves for an all-nighter! We did a stunned high-five, my wife and I. One of the most unbelievable moments...

This does prove one thing: common sense always prevails for a majority of people. Thanks PRESIDENT ELECT OBAMA for not using cheap tactics to scare people into voting for you (see Niccolò Machiavelli). I've been smiling for the past 3 days, thank you so much.

When they showed this, I was so excited, but I was in shock - it was so early! But then they showed the numbers - I just screamed and laughed and cried and laughed some more and cried some more :) Such a beautiful moment. I can truly say it was one of the happiest moments of my life!

The last time I voted was in 1973. Coming from a patriotic family as mine, my pride in the country had taken a dive the last 7 yrs. I have never been prouder to be an american as I was when I casted my vote for our new elected president. I cried as I voted and then when cnn called the election. I have such hope for this country.

I watched the election online and my facebook toolbar went freakin' CRAZY when they announced Obama as the winner. And then my phone went off the hook with people calling.
Congratulations, soon-to-be Mr. President! Can't wait until January 20th!
