Bantus Capoeira Camp 2008![]() On Saturday and Sunday June 28th-29th 2008, Bantus Capoeira Japan had their 3rd Annual Capoeira Camp in Yamanashi.
Onsen, big screen TV, BBQ, kitchen, taikukan, lots of Karaoke, everything! Thanks to Mico, Cotonete and Cafune for all your hard work in preparing the camp. Thanks to everyone who brought their instruments, especially Amizade! Thanks to everyone for coming. すごくたのしかった! みなさん、ありがとうございます! So just to re-cap on the highlights: Day One: Self-introductions and "How I started capoeira". History of the Bantu peoples, information about the Bantu languages, and the meaning of "Bantus Capoeira". Capoeira workshop: Fun warm-up, Acrobatics and Floreios (Ponte, Prancha, Corta Capim, Parafuso, Armada Dupla). Roda. BBQ and Dinner. Forro and Karaoke. DVD: Mestre Bimba. A Capoeira Iluminada. Day Two: Wake-up (No Karaoke this time). Breakfast. Farewell Roda for Mico.
