many people died after katrina and for whatever reason people did not leave before it hit it does not matter now. all those people are not just black they are all different races and it really doesn't matter they are human beings. God had a reason for allowing it to happen maybe it is the end of time and all those people that died where taken by God because they were God chosen ones. And we who were left down here were left for a reason as well. Do we continue to past judgement on our fellow man as if we are a god or do we do what God would have us do. God says even those that despitefully mistreat us and use us we should pray for. is there any pride in taking something that doesn't belong to you, stealing. No so these people have lost their sense of pride and what does the average man have left after he has lost his pride. What are the many ways the photo of these people stealing says. It could be saying that they have lost hope in America that they will not receive any help from their fellow Americans so they have to get what they can for themselves. It is saying that they are poor and that they were poor before the storm and maybe even homeless because we have many homeless people in america that wasn't hit by the storm and hungry we haven't did anything to help them so why would we expect those people to believe anything other than what they believed. We all are at fault for what they did and may still have to do to survive. Are we not our brothers keeper?

In response to TJ2005's comment above: My heart is broken as well as yours considering the awful conditions human beings have had to endure. Only God knows the answers to why, why, why.
Somethings we don't understand these things here on earth. I don't want to POINT ANY FINGERS AT ANYONE because I do not know the workings of the agencies; but I can tell you that my family(two adults two children and Mother who was visting) were in a huge natural disaster...a killer tornado that took half the city in 1979. We never questioned why someone didn't help us fast enough; we just were grateful to get daily food from churches, items from the Red Cross(they were wonderful) no one cared or looked at what color, class, religion etc. we were, they did their jobs. We lost everything in our home including our well-loved dog and many friends were killed in our community. And to add to the stress, my husband was a funeral director and to go about the task of identifying and burying those he knew.
We then had to take out an SBA loan( to replace necessities such as clothing, furniture, on and on ) that took us 7 to 9 years of our lives to pay back because we did not have renter's insurance we could not afford it even though both of us were employed. We never asked for a penny, we were fortunate we were young and both had employment but for the elderly it was most devastating!!!
I try not to judge someone as I have not walked in their shoes..God loves all of them and will help them get thru this nightmare they have. Especially bless the children, they have no voice. And, God Bless GEORGE BUSH, OUR PRESIDENT. He is doing the best he can considering all that has been on his back since his two terms as president. He looks to Almighty God for his strength, please all of you do the same...HE WILL GET YOU THRU!

I am deeply saddened by the how political this disaster has become. This is not about politics... this is about the victims. The victims are the ones that need our attention not the politicians who have an agenda for their future election. I pray Lord that you keep the victims of this disaster close to your heart and that you give them strenght to continue and find solace in your ever growing love. And let us not forget all the selfless volunteers may they have the strength to help all those in need. And lastly be with our local, state and federal governments that they will make discisions that are best for our country even if it may not be the best for their career. God bless George Bush may his enduring faith in God continue to shine through and be a beakon of hope for our nation as we struggle through such contraversy. AMEN!I hope that I am not the only one repeating this prayer daily.
