Stag

Stag

A painting of a stag :) I love stags, they're so magnificent animals. They are so sylvan, and they have such a great nature-feeling. When I see stags, I can feel nature, the good old, feral one. Stags wanted to be trees... they grew branches :) And yeah, they're close to trees, they're beautiful :)

The eye of nightmares

The eye of nightmares

This drawing was inspired by another drawing of mine which was created when we were staying in a small house in a forest. I had images of various animals in my mind, and I drew some outlines, some simple forms, and I could see the whole animal. It was built up only by distorted triangles and such, but it became lifelike. I realized then, that I can connect these animals together, because a simple triangle could be a part of more animals at the same time. So I decided to draw this image.

The drawing contains about 40 wild animals, beasts, creatures, some of them are real, some of them are fantasy creatures. They can be found and recognized by the eyes. The image should be rotated in order to find them.

The image symbolizes the mind of a creature, perhaps a human, lost in a dark forest. In his mind there are flashes of visions, about the dangers of darkness and wildlife. Of course none of them are really particular, because he doesn't know what to think, he's afraid of the unknown. Things get confused and mixed till the stranger can't get away from the bad feelings, and his mind gets filled with fear and dementia.

The image is an A4 pencil drawing on paper. I scanned it, and finished it, added the final touches (soft gradient color changes in the eye).

Apples

Apples

Five apples I painted quite a long time ago (just after the small fruit-paintings). I used the half-rotten apples I found at home, placed them on the table, grabbed three pear-leaves, and finished the composition. Unfortunately everything got more and more rotten, but I don't like to paint perfect things, anyway :D

Shell (self portrait)

Shell (self portrait)

I painted this shell for my girlfriend. She is in Tunis right now and I think about her a lot. That's why this image seemed to be a good idea :) She's at the seaside, just like this shell, and both of them are so precious, and beautiful! ^_^
This is my favorite painting so far :)
